I’ve been using my DIY toner since I was a teen – my 2-ingredient rinse is a life savior, I wash my face with it nightly
A BEAUTY lover has shared how she creates her homemade toner that she's been using since she was a teenager.
She said the two-ingredient skincare rinse transformed her face and was a life savior.
Anjani Bohj (@ninisvanitybox) is a fan of all things beauty, from makeup to wellness.
In an Instagram Reel, she shared the step-by-step process for her DIY toner using a natural ingredient that brightened her face.
In the video caption, she said the toner was a "life savior," especially back in her teenage days.
"This toner helped me so much but more importantly it just improved my skin," she explained.
She called the results shocking because of how effectively it worked.
To prove her point, she even showed images of what she looked like as a teenager with dull skin and followed it up with images of herself now as an adult.
There was a noticeable difference because her face glowed and the happy smile on her face added to it.
Others noticed it as well and made it known in the comments.
"I just love it. You're skin goals," an Instagrammer commented.
"Your face glows like [a] tubelight," another said.
The at-home treatment is easy to make, so she demonstrated how to do the beauty tip.
Anjani first heated 500 mL of water in a clear glass teapot on her stove.
Next, she steeped 15 to 20 neem leaves in the hot liquid and let them sit in the water for 15 minutes.
Neem trees are in the mahogany family and are used to treat several ailments.
According to the National Institutes of Health, all parts of a neem tree have been used to treat inflammation, infections, fever, skin diseases, and dental disorders.
Once it completely cooled off, she poured it over her face in the video.
She recommended washing it completely over your face daily before bed at night.
Although that is how she did it that way on herself, another option is to put it in a spray bottle.
The DIY fan recommended doing it three to four times a week to see the difference.
Anjani emphasized in the caption that she wasn't a dermatologist or medical professional, so she advised doing it with caution.
She explained that it "truly worked" for her, but suggested that others check with their doctor before doing anything or do a patch test on one area of their body first.
Many viewers were excited to try the natural remedy on themselves.

Anti-aging tips and 'superstar' products
Dr. Anatalia Moore is a GP and skin specialist with over 11 years of clinical experience.
She told The U.S. Sun that her goal is to equip patients with the knowledge they need to take control of their skin journey.
She said the fundamental basics of a beauty routine are the same for all ages — it should include an effective cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF.
"Moisturizers are my superstar, even over products containing active ingredients," she said.
“Finding a well-balanced moisturizer that provides the right kind of hydration, replaces natural oils, and seals them in, literally stabilizes your skin.
“This in itself quickly can soften the appearance of fine lines and texture, as often these are worsened by dehydration.
“It also allows the skin to function as it should.
“It then can heal faster, which, among many things, can lead to fewer lines and wrinkles, less flares of dermatitis and rosacea, and shorter-lived, milder breakouts.”
