“The audacity!” say furious parents after a childless bloke claims that being a stay-at-home mum is ‘not a real job’

A CHILDLESS man has sparked controversy after insisting that being a stay-at-home mother is ''not a real job'' - and in fact, it should be viewed as a ''privilege''.

The bloke, Jared Sayre, from the US, took to TikTok to share his views on the matter and soon found himself brutally slammed by parents on the internet.

According to the man, who's since made headlines all over the world, including Daily Mail and The Mirror, the role of a parent-at-home is ''not a job whatsoever, it's a privilege''.

''Do you know how many single mothers are out there that actually have jobs and have to come home and do your job?'' he wondered.

Jared has since received backlash for the video, which was recently seen by another content creator, Dustin Poynter, who then 'stitched' it on his platform.

Hitting back at the claims, Dustin reckoned that Jared was ''just talking right outta your [peach emoji]'' - and this gained him a lot of support.

''I was laid off from work for four months, and I had to stay home, and it's the easiest s*** I've ever done in my life,'' Jared explained the reasoning behind his controversial opinion.

''I can do all the daily responsibilities that come with taking care of a house in no time and then other than that all you have to do is watch your kid.''

The bloke, who seemingly doesn't have any kids, added: ''And I'm not knocking stay-at-home mothers, I have respect for them, and I honestly think the world needs more of them because it's good for the kid.

''You can't take a nap at a full-time job, you can't watch TV at a full-time job, you have someone watching your every move at a full-time job demanding that you do what they say.''

However, the views haven't gone down exactly too well on social media, where Dustin then likened his opinion to a red flag.

Hitting back at the bloke, Dustin explained in his video: 'Look, I don't have kids either, but I grew up with three siblings, a stay-at-home mother, and a stay-at-home stepmother.

''I witnessed first-hand the stress that comes with maintaining an entire house, Olympic diving across the kitchen to save your child from putting its hand in the garbage disposal 50 times a day, listening to constant screaming and meltdowns.

''And most importantly, trying not to cause irrevocable physical and psychological harm to an innocent human being who didn't ask to be here.

''So, let's not play contrarian to things we have zero experience of,'' he reminded Jared.

Since being shared on the platform, where Dustin posts under the username @dustinpoynter, the clip has racked up over a whopping 860k views.

Totally baffled and infuriated by the statement, thousnads raced to comments to slam Jared for his ''audacity''.

One said: ''Wait a minute, stay at home mothers are watching TV and taking naps? I must be doing this wrong.''

Another was just as stunned, writing: ''Someone leave him alone with at least two kids under five for a week and see how he does.''

''I've been both. Being a stay a home mom is way harder,'' a third chimed in.

A mum penned: ''Being a mother is the hardest job I have ever done, it's the best job but the most demanding and it's a privilege to do.''

''The audacity to think you just 'watch' your kids instead of raise your kids,'' someone else corrected Jared.
