And as the weather gets colder, opening the windows doesn’t sound very appealing and there’s only so much a dehumidifier can do to beat the pesky stuff.

But one woman has revealed that her bathroom was covered in mould, but thanks to her tips, now looks like it’s just been newly fitted.

The cleaning enthusiast explained that it wasn’t easy, but was worth the elbow grease.

Posting on Reddit, on a Cleaning Tips thread, the cleaning enthusiast, who is known as @kimberlocks, took to the community sharing platform to show off the results of her shower clean.

She penned: ”Asked Reddit for help with my mouldy shower and rotten caulking.”

The user then posted before and after pictures of the bathroom clean, as she penned: “Proud of the results.”

Alongside the post, the user explained: “I busted my a**. I will find the exact products and share them here.

“For the most part I cut everything out using an Exacto knife and caulk cutting tool.

“After, I scrubbed all the stuff stuck to the sides of the wall and tub.

“Then I covered the area to not get any water inside the wall.

“I sprayed the mould and bleach product in every crease and tile and let it sit for 45 minutes.

“After that I used another product and a hard scrubbing brush and did the tiles themselves and the grout.

“After that I rinsed and dried everything and reapplied new caulking!

“Also I wore an n95 [face mask] and had the room well ventilated.”

The cleaning fan, who is from the US, later explained that she used the Mr. Clean Freak Deep Cleaning Mist and the Vim Ultra Power Mould Remover, which you can purchase on Amazon

However, if you’re on a budget, the Kilrock Mould Remover spray, which you can nab from Ocado for £2.50, is said to be a brilliant alternative.

Not only this, but the Astonish Mould & Mildew Blaster, which retails for just £1.50 from Sainsbury’s, is also a great, and much more affordable solution.

Social media users were left stunned at the Reddit post and were eager to share this in the comments.

One person said: “This is a hall of fame post! You did an incredible job, enjoy your lovely bathroom.”

To this, the cleaning enthusiast replied: “Thank you it’s truly brought some relaxation to the apartment.

"For our mental health it was like a new beginning. Replaced the shower curtain and everything.”

Another added: “Thank you for sharing!! I've been struggling with our shower stall since we moved in. It wasn't great when we got the house and nothing has working. I've been considering just reapplying new caulking.”

A third commented: “Phenomenal job.”

As well as this, a professional cleaner here in the UK has raved about another product that will banish mould in no time.

A cleaning whizz from The Clean Up Company took to TikTok to share the product you need to get rid of mould in your home.

She said: “So do you have mould on the sealant, around the edge of your window frames and your bath?

“Okay, I'm just cleaning my grandad-in-law's house with my mother-in-law and she came across this - it's the Elbow Grease, new and improved mould and mildew stain remover.”

The cleaner then showed off her sparkling clean surfaces, as she added: “I'm just gonna show you, so in these seals here, these were all filled with mould, just from condensation on the windows.

“As you can see, they've come up absolutely brand new.

“So I've always struggled with this, even as a professional cleaner, it’s something I've always struggled with.

“So we sprayed that on and left it for half an hour and it's literally bought it all out.
