Chinese President Xi Jinping tours Macau university on second day of visit
Chinese President Xi Jinping toured the laboratories for traditional Chinese medicine and space technology at a Macau university on the second day of his trip to the city.
He arrived at Macau University of Science and Technology at 10am on Thursday after he left Xinzhuyuan guest hotel.
He spent about an hour touring the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine and the State Key Laboratory of Lunar and Planetary Sciences.
Xi also had a “friendly exchange” with researchers and students, according to news agency Xinhua.
His wife Peng Liyuan also reportedly visited a museum near the Ruins of St Paul’s, a Macau star attraction, according to broadcaster RTHK.
During his speech at the airport on Wednesday, Xi pledged to “go around, take a look and deliberate” on Macau’s development plans during his three-day tour.
