My simple trick makes a dramatic difference so your house looks expensive on a budget – never buy throw pillows again
AN interior stylist has revealed her simple trick that will make a dramatic difference in your house.
Her hack will help your house appear expensive while on a budget.
After trying it, she said you will never buy throw pillows again.
So convinced is Megan (@ahousetohomey) of her decor idea, that she described it as "life-changing."
This lady has 196,000 followers on her TikTok, where she shares her love in "creating a homey house for yourself and guests.”
She is in pursuit of elegant looks that do not put a strain on the wallet.
“Expensive home on a budget hack. If you want your house to look expensive but you’re on a budget, I have a good hack for you," she promised.
In this post, her attention was focused on pillows, or to be more exact, their contents.
Choose the right filling, she said, and it could make an enormous difference.
“Pillowcases," she began her video, and she had some advice.
“It’s three parts and the first thing you need to know is you are never going to buy store-bought pillows again."
Just don't do it, she urged. It would be a false economy.
“Step two, buy a pillowcase separately. Larger usually looks more expensive.
“Step three, buy a down pillow insert that is four inches bigger than your pillowcases."
And choose the best inserts: “It’s important that it’s down and it has to be bigger."
To demonstrate the stark difference her tip made, she allowed the camera's gaze to settle on her sofa.
The pillows, one sticking to her hack, the other not, and the difference was obvious.
“These two pillowcases are the same size. One has a down insert and the other has foam."
To ram her point home, she did the ultimate pillow test: she did the chop and there was a clear winner.

“Tried to chop [the foam pillow] but it doesn’t really hold its shape. And that’s the difference. It’s such a game-changer.
