I bought a house at 18 but got sick of the rat race & sold it for a static caravan, I have so much cash to travel now

A WOMAN who was fed up of the rat race ditched her home and mortgage to live in a caravan.

She said: "Purchased my first house at 18 and then sold it at 22."

Instead of staying in her semi-detached home, Lucy decided she'd had enough of mortgage payments and wanted to enjoy her freedom.

"Our journey out of the rat race," she added.

She and her partner decided to snag up a static caravan instead so that they could save money on housing.

Lucy revealed this allowed them to travel the world - something that has now become an addiction as they live full-time in a van travelling Europe and even Mexico.

But the static caravan wasn't quite up to their tastes - with brown interiors and an outdated floral sofa.

So the pair renovated it with the help of family members and lived off-grid in the English countryside until they had enough savings to go and see the world.

They managed to make the caravan look much more modern - giving the walls a lick of paint and swapping the old sofa out with a modern corner one.

They also took out the kitchen and replaced it with white and black features and a dreamy farmhouse sink.

Lucy and her partner also turned the bedroom into a stunning modern room with beach-wood wall panelling.

I bought a mouldy home on wheels from Facebook for just £500 - yes, it’s disgusting and outdated but it’ll be ‘the dream’ thanks to bargains from B&M and Wickes

The couple, who had managed to save tonnes of money by ditching their home for a caravan then went travelling, first heading to Greece.

While there, the pair fell in love with the idea of travelling full-time.

Of course, they knew they could already live in a tiny home - so now all they had to do was get a van that can actually travel.

Now the pair have bought a smaller van in preparation for their travels - where they plan to live while saving money on rent.

When I say I wanna live in a caravan, this is what I mean.

Although the couple plan to travel for an extended period of time - they are still making sure their static caravan becomes their perfect home for when they return.

Lucy revealed they were close to completely finishing the renovation in one clip.

The clips posted to her TikTok account @lifewithlucyrhave has gone viral with over 380k views.

People were quick to take to the comments praising the couple on the incredible transformation.

One person wrote: "Pure dream! and well done having the bottle to do it."

Another commented: "You’ve got this !! … invested in the journey."

"When I say I wanna live in a caravan this is what I mean, absolutely gorgeous," penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: "Absolutely beautiful well done you’ve done a grand job."

"Omg wow, that’s absolutely stunning, massive well done,” claimed a fifth.
