I bought an old house with bright blue carpets & turned it into my dream home – people are shocked it’s the same place
A WOMAN has shared how she transformed an outdated house with bright blue carpets and a tiny kitchen into her dream home in just a few months, and people can't believe it's the same place.
TikTok user @mygreigehome shared details of her home renovation, which she said took four months to complete, via videos posted to her channel.
Greige is a combination of beige and grey and is a reference to the colours used to decorate her home.
In one video she shared before and after clips of the house.
In the before clips the house was covered in garish bright blue carpets that look as though they hadn't been touched for decades.
The kitchen was minuscule and could only comfortably fit one person in at a time and the bath and sink were a shocking bubblegum blue colour.

The toilet was in a separate room to the rest of the bathroom and there was plaster peeling off the living room walls.
The TikTok user stripped the wallpaper, pulled up the carpets and added an extension.
She tiled the bathroom walls, painted everything white and even added a new door.
In 'after' clips of the house it has been entirely transformed.
In the kitchen, a stylish marble island has been added, with an inbuilt hob and patio doors have been added, which open out onto the garden.
The downstairs living space is all open plan, so the kitchen opens out into a cosy living room, with a grey sofa and enormous TV.
In the garden a patio has been added with a wicker outdoor seating area on top, perfect for warm summer nights.
TikTok users rushed to the video's comments section to share their awe at the house transformation.
One user said: "I refuse to believe that this is the same house".
Another user added: "So beautiful. All in just four months? It takes me four months to change the battery in the kitchen clock!"
A third user added: "The best glow up ever".
