  • 'Poor advice' from Neville

    Gary Neville admits that he has given “poor advice” by telling stars to join Manchester United and called it “really sad”.

    Following the game, Neville joined Roy Keane and Jamie Redknapp in the Sky Sports studio and admitted that he had told several players to sign for United over the past couple of years as he tried to help them return to their glory years from afar.

    He said: “I have spoken to players before they come here saying you'll never regret it, it's a magic football club, looking back that's pretty poor advice.”

  • Bellingham snub

    Gary Neville hit out at Manchester United’s damning decline by congratualting Jude Bellingham for snubbing them.

    Speaking on Sky Sports, Neville said: “I’ve spoken to a couple of players before they’ve come here and said ‘you’ll never regret it, it’s a magic football club’.

    “But I have to say looking back, it looks like pretty poor advice with what’s happened to them since they’ve come and it’s really sad.

    “They would have thrived at other clubs. Other players who have chosen other clubs have gone on to be really successful.

    “You think of Jude Bellingham, and I think of that quite a lot, when he walks into the boardroom here at Man United, United have agreed a fee with Birmingham, and so have Dortmund.

    “He has a choice between Dortmund and United. And somehow that kid, well done to him, chose Borussia Dortmund, and he’s now one of the greatest players in the world, one of the greatest English talents.

    “What would have happened to him if he’d come here? I don’t know, maybe he would have been a success because he’s that good.

    “I’m not so sure in the current environment and culture and what’s been happening.”

  • Liverpool target 'New Varane'

    Liverpool are reportedly in a three-way transfer battle to sign a teenage star dubbed “the new Raphael Varane”.

    With star centre-back Virgil van Dijk turning 33 in July, the Reds are looking for a long-term successor at the back for the Dutchman.

    Jurgen Klopp has been linked with a number of targets over recent months.

    Now a fresh report has thrown another name into the mix - Leny Yoro.

    The star is only 18-years-old but already impressing in the first-team at French club Lille.

    His displays at centre-half have seen him dubbed the “new Varane” as comparisons with Manchester United’s French World Cup-winning ace continue to grow.

  • Mejbri's future

    Man Utd's Hannibal Mejbri appears to have played his last game for the club.

    According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, is flying to Spain to ink a loan deal with Sevilla.

    Romano tweeted: "Understand Man United will NOT have buy back clause for Hannibal Mejbri."

    He added: "Sevilla can buy Hannibal in June for €20m, this is the value of the buy option clause."

    Man Utd are reportedly considering a move for Karim Benzema.

    The France striker is said to be unhappy at Saudi club Al-Ittihad.

    He has reportedly failed to turn up for preseason training - with his future now up in the air.

    Arsenal are weighing up a move for Ousmane Diomande.

    The Ivory Coast defender has starred for Sporting Lisbon and is now at the AFCON with his country.

  • Jake Paul deal

    Jake Paul has been tipped to land a shock Premier League deal by Yohan Benalouane.

    The former Leicester City star spent time with the social media star at a New York Jets match.

    Benalouane, 36, posted some pictures on Instagram of his time with Paul at the Metlife Stadium.

    The pair were also bizarrely joined by former World Cup winner Blaise Matuidi.

    Benalouane teased that Paul might be getting a Premier League deal as he captioned the pictures.

    He wrote: "Premier League deal? @jakepaul soon in 🔵⚽️."

  • Mayoral breaks silence

    Arsenal transfer target Borja Mayoral has broken his silence amid the interest from the Gunners.

    He told Mediaset: “It's news that has surprised me too. I haven't spoken to the club or my agent.

    “I'm very focused on Getafe on a day-to-day basis.”

    Mikel Arteta's side were said to have tabled a £22million bid for the forward.

  • Messinho business

    Chelsea have sent an executive to Brazil to complete the signing of Estevao Willian, according to reports.

    The Blues have been strongly linked with the 16-year-old and could sign him in a deal worth up to £65million.

    Estevao, who has been nicknamed Messinho, has also drawn interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.

    According to Sport, though, Chelsea have now flown an executive to Sao Paulo to trigger Estevao's release clause.

    The club are ready to finalise the deal and pay the player's £52million exit clause.

    However, the deal could still rise to £65million, the report adds.

  • Palhinha boost

    Arsenal and Liverpool have been given a boost in their pursuit for Fulham's Joao Palhinha.

    The Portugal midfielder is said to be a target for the Premier League rivals. But Bayern Munich will not be buying him in January, according to Fabrizio Romano.

    “Joao Palhinha will not join Bayern Munich in the January transfer window," Romano said via CaughtOffiside.

    "We know he was almost a Bayern player on deadline day in the summer before the deal collapsed – Bayern decided to keep following the player because they still like and appreciate Palhinha. However, now the deal will not happen because he is considered too expensive."

  • Arsenal boost for Isak race as Newcastle chief confirms ‘every player has a price’

    Arsenal have been handed a transfer boost to land Alexander Isak after Newcastle CEO Darren Eales revealed that every Newcastle player has a price.

    After declaring that Newcastle were compliant with the Premier League’s financial rules, Eales was asked whether every player at the club had a price.

    In response, he said: “correct.”

    Isak has been linked with an Arsenal transfer in the past but could now serve to upgrade the Gunners attack with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah blowing hot and cold this season.

  • Ajax boss confirms Henderson talks

    Ajax boss John van't Schip has confirmed Dutch giants Ajax are in talks to sign Jordan Henderson.

    The Dutch side are one of a number of sides, including Juventus, who are said to be in talks with the former Liverpool star after he told Al-Ettifaq chiefs he wanted to leave.

    Van't Schip told ESPN: "There is serious talk going on with Henderson. He still has some things to arrange in Saudi Arabia.

    "It could be a nice match. It's no secret that we could really use that type of player. Other guys can benefit from that."

    The reported deal would be an 18-month loan transfer.

    Premier League clubs will find out whether they have breached league Profit and Sustainability rules tomorrow.

    Any charges will be announced on Monday 15 January, with clubs limited to a loss of £105million over three seasons.

    Everton were found to have breached this limit by £20m previously which resulted in a ten points deduction for this season.

    The likes of Chelsea and Nottingham Forest are particularly under the microscope.

    Stats have revealed Gallagher is one of Europe's most complete midfielders but the Blues are still looking to sell the 23-year-old to help them comply with financial sustainability rules.

    Speaking to TNT Sports, Cole warned club chiefs they would be making a grave error by selling the England international.

    He said: "You've got to credit the boys for getting it over the line. Gallagher outstanding again.

    "He must start February in a Chelsea shirt. I'm really pleased for Pochettino."

    As reported by La Foz, via Sport Witness, Fassi said: "It’s true, they have been following him for four months now.

    "And they asked us for information about his physical records."

  • Man Utd eye striker compared to Ibrahimovic

    Man Utd have been linked been Bologna starlet Joshua Zirkzee to help solve their striker issues.

    Rasmus Hojlund has effectively been tasked with leading the Man Utd attack alone for much of the season.

    Despite impressing in the Champions League, Hojlund has struggled domestically, having scored just one goal in the Premier League.

    However, reports in Italy now claim the Red Devils are eyeing a move for 22-year-old Zirkzee which could see them trigger his £34million release clause.

    Zirkzee has been likened to Man Utd cult hero Zlatan Ibrahimovic by Torino boss Iavn Juric, who said: “Those who are good (coaches), take these talents, cultivate them and manage to make them explode.

    “In some moves, I see Ibra again. He is an atypical striker who also manages to score many goals.”

    Clement Lenglet will remain at Aston Villa and see out the remainder of his loan spell under Unai Emery, reports suggest.
