Jordan Henderson ‘in advanced talks with Juventus over loan transfer’ as he looks to end Saudi Arabian nightmare
JORDAN HENDERSON is reportedly in advanced talks to sign for Juventus, just six months after arriving in Saudi Arabia.
The former Liverpool captain wants to leave the Gulf State and now appears to be close to getting his wish.
It comes after Alfredo Pedulla reported that Henderson was at an "advanced stage" in talks to seal a loan transfer to Juventus.
The deal will see the 33-year-old join on an 18 month loan deal.
A clause in the deal will allow the deal to be scrapped in June.
However, Juventus boss Max Allegri is said to "approve" of the player, with Henderson the club's number one January target.

Club chiefs will also be pleased to learn that the cash-stricken Serie A outfit will only pay a fraction of the midfielders wages.
Henderson earns a whopping £692,000 a week, or £36milllion a year, with current club Al-Ettifaq.
But the Old Lady will only pay £1.3m of his salary to complete the bumper deal.
Furthermore, Juventus will pay not pay a loan transfer fee.

Henderson originally left the Premier League and Europe behind in the summer to link up with former Reds team-mate Steven Gerrard.
But having failed to score and seeing the club go on a nightmare run that has left them 8th in the Saudi Pro League, the England international now wants to leave.
SunSport revealed last week that Henderson had told some team-mates he had made a huge mistake with the move.
Reports earlier this month suggested Henderson wanted to return to England.
The likes of Newcastle, Chelsea and a return to Liverpool were all earmarked, with reports also indicating he was being tracked by a host of European clubs including Celtic, Ajax and Bayern Munich.
However, it now seems Juventus will win the race to sign the ex-Sunderland star.
In the meantime, Al-Ettifaq have wasted no time drawing up a list of potential replacements, with Prem stars Joe Gomez and Joel Matip reportedly drawn up on their summer shortlist.
