‘This one is for the sickos’ say horror fans as Demi Moore’s comeback leaves them traumatised over a vomited-up breast
Demi Moore has currently stunned onlookers when she appeared at the Cannes Film Festival, however film fans have been left horrified.
Her new film The Substance received its official premiere at the glitzy French event, in which she stars alongside the likes of Dennis Quaid, 70.
The Cannes Film Festival has no shortage on controversial films as part of the official 2024 selection.
Emma Stone, 35, reunited with acclaimed director Yorgos Lanthimos for another graphic outing in Kinds of Kindness.
This was whilst Sebastian Stan, 41, starred in a contentious biopic about the 45th US President Donald Trump titled, The Apprentice.
Now Demi Moore, 61, has her turn in the spotlight and it seems her film is equally impressive as it is utterly repulsive.

Demi's comeback is in full flow as she plays fading A-list actress Elisabeth Sparkle in the Coralie Fargeat directed outing.
The film focuses on the personality as she was given the axe from a fitness segment on a morning show.
In a similar vein to Death Becomes Her starring the likes of Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn, she then takes an takes an experimental substance that ‘generates a new, younger, more beautiful, more perfect, you'.
Things soon take a more downward turn as Margaret Qualley, 29, literally bursts out of Moore in a scene of explicit nudity.
The audience is then treated to all sorts of gruesome and graphic shots which feature blood, gore and organs in a full blown body horror flick.
In the third act of the film, an especially horrifying scene has been reported which is said to include a 'truly monstrous, malformed creation of arms, teeth, faces, slime and flesh', according to The Metro.
The outlet then reports a scene which features 'boob vomiting' followed swiftly by gorish depictions of body matter explosions and gallons of blood appearing on-screen.
It seems the audience at the croisette seemed to be impressed giving the film an eight minute standing ovation.
However, critics have been left both impressed and traumatised by the flick.
After the premiere, critic Josh Parham said: "This one is for the sickos."
This was as David Ehrlick wrote: "The Substance is absolutely f****** insane and by far the best film in Competition so far. An instant body horror classic, equal parts Freaky Friday and The Fly, Demi Moore going full demented. Loved."
Beyond Fest also gushed about the film as they wrote: "It is on such a freakish level that it’s impossible to believe it exists. Demi Moore goes there and @coraliefargeat has carved a contemporary horror unlike anything you’ve seen."
It's faced previous criticism of depictions of the pressures that women are under to be 'perfect' in a skinny way.
