There was speculation the Ukrainian had suffered a broken jaw during the epic bout but his team shot down the rumours.

But days after the historic win, Usyk, 37, showed off his battered hands, cut faces and swollen eyes.

So it is no wonder the British Boxing Board of Control handed him a suspension until June 2, according to BoxRec.

Fury, 35, fell to the first defeat of his career but has the chance to avenge it with a rematch clause in his contract.

And his promoter Frank Warren has confirmed the dethroned Gypsy King intends to invoke the stipulation.

Warren told Press Association: "There will be a rematch. I think it will be better than the original fight.

"They both know each other, they've shared the ring and they'll be looking to use what they've gained from the fight as an advantage to beat their opponent."

The rematch is being eyed for October back in Saudi Arabia.

And Warren added: "Fury wants to win and he's got to win. He's only asking for the rematch because he thinks he can win.

"He believes in himself and it would cement his legacy. Everyone out there thinks Usyk is the best out there so let's see what Tyson does.

"He rang me and he said he wants the rematch so here we are."
