Hong Kong’s John Lee to hold first town hall ahead of policy address in October
Hong Kong’s leader will attend his first town hall on Sunday to gauge public views ahead of his latest policy address to be unveiled in October.
Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu launched the public consultation drive in July, in which he pledged to attend more than 40 meetings, alongside two community gatherings, to collect ideas to grow the economy and improve people’s livelihoods.
“My team and I have attended more than 20 in-person and online consultation sessions one month after the public consultation for the policy address was launched, and next, we will be going to the community to have face-to-face interactions with residents,” Lee wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday.
