How to wear an oversized blazer?
BLAZERS are my go-to, and in my wardrobe, and they are all oversized fits.
Over the years I have worn tailored and structured designs and cropped blazers, but I have replaced all of those in favour of an oversized blazer, which is more timeless and versatile.
Over the last couple of years, any outfit I wear, whether it is for the office, a shopping spree, dinner and drinks with friends, or a date night, is centred around a beloved oversized blazer.
You can layer over a basic outfit complete with a white t-shirt and jeans, but the moment you throw a blazer into the mix it takes a basic look to new heights.
Take that outfit and wear it with trainers for a shopping spree, loafers for the office, and heels for date night.
I have lusted after The Frankie Shop's Bea blazer, YSL and Jacquemus oversized blazer, but I can't pretend to have the budget for that.

However, that's not an issue as I have found, and bought, some stellar high street buys that look luxe for less.
From leather blazers, oversized blazers, designs with shoulder pads, suede creations, wool designs as well as linen, and co-ord sets, we love them all.
Not sure how to style yours? No fear, here's how we style the cult fashion item year in and year out, season after season.

A classic. Whether I am heading to the office, brunch or date night, this is the look I will always go for.
Admittedly, depending on the event and weather, some elements will be swapped.
In winter I will wear trainers or boots, a roll neck instead of a T-shirt, but in the summer I will layer my blazer over a vest top and pair it with sandals.
Plus you can alternate the jeans too, some may opt for the popular barrel-leg jeans, wide-leg jeans, or maybe even smart tailored trousers.

For a night out, whether it is date night or dinner with friends, I will opt for an oversized blazer and pair it with a slip skirt and heels - but not too high.
This look is simple and elegant but classic, and each item can be styled in another outfit, making this a perfect capsule wardrobe.
The skirt can be swapped for a block colourway, even a denim midi skirt, and the blazer could even be a diamante version to add sparkle to an all-black ensemble if you want to dazzle come date night.

If you are going "out-out", then I'd reach for an oversize blazer, or blazer dress, and style a number of ways.
I love a blazer as a dress, cinched in with a belt, worn with a bodysuit or shorts underneath for coverage, and styled with heels, boots, or even paired with diamante tights or lace leggings.
It's a playful outfit you can get creative with, it's sexy but also can provide coverage and comfort without slipping into a skin-tight dress, which is a garment I steer clear of so swapping a blazer for a dress is my preferred glam outfit.

Off-duty dressing is our default mode of late.
This low-key look is effortless, even if you have put some thought into planning your outfit.
You can look chic when meeting pals for a Sunday brunch wearing leggings, chunky trainers, a stylish hoodie, blazer and cap, it's almost incognito celebrity vibe.
The extra layers provide warmth and coverage, but also comfort, which I am all about.
If you find yourself overheating simply wear the hoodie tied around the neck.

A blazer is a great cover-up for a night out, and we will layer it over a dress for a dinner out time and time again.
I would wear an oversized blazer over a dress, cinched in with a belt, and boots, for a polished look, though I will also unbutton and wear loosely too depending on the dress underneath.
This combination can be paired with heels, heeled boots, chunky flat boots, and even trainers, it depends on the season and occasion.
The dress underneath could be a figure-hugging maxi, a crochet knit dress, a jumper dress, a satin slip dress - both mini or maxi - or a floral tea dress.

An oversized blazer worn as part of a complete set is a look we adore, it's effortless yet achieves maximum effect, and looks uber-chic.
It's a look I turn to for race days, as well as for a wedding guest outfit.
A linen co-ord, even patterned creations, are a preferred favourite in the warmer months. While in the colder months a velvet or leather suit, could be the go-to option.
Opt for heels, trainers, or flatforms, depending on the occasion, and even layer with other staples, or mix and match to create several outfits out of one set.

If you're looking for a preppy look for the transitional seasons then, guess what? An oversized blazer can be woven into that look.
Pair an oversized blazer with a preppy mini skirt, flat loafers, socks, a shirt and a jumper.
On paper, it sounds like a school uniform, and essentially it is, but just much more fashionable.
We love this look as it allows for some fun and creativity, plus it's super feminine.
The layering pieces are ideal to allow each individual to get creative. Opt for clashing prints, different textures, and tonal shades within one look, I switch between neutral tones in the summer, and monochrome hues, such as black, grey and white, in winter.

Come the summer months we are desperate to slip into shorts, whether they are short shorts, which were seen all over the runway this Fashion Week, longer tailored shorts, denim designs, linen or cotton bottoms.
Pair your shorts with an oversized blazer for a chic look, but also for some coverage when baring the flesh.
If you are heading to brunch with friends pair this ensemble with trainers, though if you are too warm you can simply drape the blazer over your shoulders for a cool vibe.
If you are heading to a rooftop bar on holiday, this look is perfectly paired with wedges or heels, and the blazer can provide some protection when the sea breeze hits in the evening eating al fresco.

In the winter you may switch your linen blazer in summer for a wool or velvet design, your shorts for leather shorts, and maybe slip on knee-high boots, even tights, for extra warmth.
To elevate this look all you have to do is experiment with the accessories, from a cross-body bag to a glitzy clutch bag to take this look from day to night. It's effortless but super sexy.
