I bought a £50 charity shop mystery box and the contents was worth £155 – there was even a posh watch & a gaming headset
A WOMAN has revealed that she bought a £50 mystery box from a charity shop.
Becky Chorlton, thrifter and owner of ‘Becky’s Bazaar’ - a second-hand business reselling vintage garments - was left stunned with the contents of the box.
She explained that she ordered the Age UK box from eBay, and specifically choose a men’s box.
Posting on social media, Becky showed her followers what she found in the box - including a posh watch and a gaming headset.
Not only this, but she also found a large selection of men’s grooming products too.
As she held up the large box, she said: “Charity shops have started doing mystery boxes. I got this one on eBay from Age UK for £50.

“Ok, so this is what I can see inside - let’s start pulling things out.”
As Becky pulled out the first item, which is worth £7, she explained: “This is the Pro-Line Comb-Thru softener. I think it’s for your hair.”
She then spotted a £15 buy, as she added: “So we’ve got a car phone holder and fast charging kit. That’s pretty useful.”
Becky then found two Dove Men Care soaps, which retail at £2.50.
She also got her hands on a Man Polish moisturiser, which retails at £15, as the savvy shopper beamed: “This looks expensive.”
Following this, Becky then found a £12 men’s Sure Advance Protection set, containing two deodorants and a water bottle.
Shortly after, the bargain hunter continued: “Then we’ve got this cool little pouch. It’s a shoe restore kit”, which retails at £10.
Becky also showed off a mobile phone armband case, which you can buy for £5, as well as a gaming headset, which costs £13.
If that wasn’t enough, Becky’s box also contained premium beard oil, worth £21, and some East Moon face cream which you can buy for £15.
Becky was then left totally open-mouthed, as she unboxed a posh watch, which retails for £25.
She beamed: “Woah. It's a watch. That’s really nice.”
To conclude the mystery box, Becky found a £15 water bottle, as she said: “And then we’ve got a Fountain Flask. Whoa, that's such a nice colour.”
The contents of the mystery box racked up to be worth a staggering £155, as Becky concluded: “And that’s everything I got for £50. There’s some pretty cool [items] in there.
“Do you think it’s worth it? Let me know.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @beckysbazaar, has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed 54,100 views.
Social media users loved the concept and thought that the mystery box was ‘worth’ the money, which many took to the comments to express.
One person said: “Love it. Might have to order a men's one now.”
Another added: “Worth it.”
A third commented: “I think this is a great thing!”
Meanwhile, someone else asked: “Are there women’s ones?”
