I bought a hoarder’s home & found an old suitcase from the 1940s stuffed with treasures – I was stunned by what I found
A WOMAN has revealed that she bought a hoarder’s home and inside, found an old suitcase from the 1940s.
But it wasn’t just an empty suitcase - in fact, Syd Lima was left totally stunned when she opened the old case, only to find it stuffed with treasures.
Stunned at her finds, Syd, who is from Jersey City, took to social media to show off the contents of the case.
Posting online, Syd gave her followers a close-up look at the grey suitcase, as she penned: “Bought a hoarder’s home as is and found an old suitcase packed for Los Angeles.”
Syd then zoomed in on the luggage tag, which had ‘BWOLOZEN’ as the name and the Jersey City address.
Not only this, but it also had a Trans World Airlines, LAX ticket on it too.

Moments later, Syd undid the suitcase, only to find it full of amazing items, as she claimed “it was full to the brim.”
Syd was initially left open-mouthed as she spotted a beautiful brown clutch bag that looked as though it was in perfect condition.
As well as this, Syd discovered a bright Vera scarf, as well as a hair perm kit and some rollers.
Also in this old suitcase was a white bra, and a pink summer hat.
There were clothes too - including a pink cotton night dress, a pink lace top, and a pink jacket.
But Syd then went on to find a final item - a beige box.
As she took the lid off of the box, Syd was stunned when she found a colourful pair of floral mule shoes, complete with a pink bow.
As she showed off the shoes, Syd shared: “They’re amazing.. I wish they were my size.”
Syd then wrote: “Blanche or Elle Woods?!”
Thrilled with her finds, the homeowner later explained: “Pretty much everything is still in original boxes with original tags!!”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @sydmlima, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has gone viral and has since amassed a staggering 2.8 million views.
Social media users were stunned at the ‘cool’ finds and were eager to express this in the comments.
One person said: “This is so cool, like a time capsule.”
In response, Syd replied: “I literally feel like I’m time travelling!”
Another added: “My jaw DROPPED at the shoes.”
A third commented: “I am IN LOVE.”
Whilst another penned: “Oh my god my dream.”
Meanwhile, someone else claimed: “A lot of women saved their suitcases packed from their honeymoons to remember the trip by.”
To this, Syd beamed: “I love that!!! Thank you - I never knew this!!!”
At the same time, another user pondered: “I wonder if she ever went on the trip.”
