A person of interest has been taken into custody overnight in connection with the shooting at Brown University, according to Providence's Chief Public Information Officer for Public Safety Kristy DosReis.
The person in custody is a suspect who was caught based on a tip to law enforcement, a source with knowledge of the investigation told ABC News. The person in custody is not a student at the university, sources familiar with the situation said.
