Premier League Darts LIVE RESULTS: Luke Littler vs Michael van Gerwen LATEST as huge tournament gets underway in Belfast

Welcome to SunSport’s coverage of Premier League Darts night one!

Live from SSE Arena, Belfast, defending Premier League champion and world champion Luke Littler is live on the first night!

The Premier League Darts is a 17 week competition, with 16 weeks of regular play, before the play-offs at the O2 Arena in London on Thursday, May 29.

Each player will meet each other once in the quarter-finals between week 1-7, and then again between weeks 9-15.

In weeks 8 and 16, players will play based on the order of the Premier League table.

Come May 29 four players will be knocked out, and the top four players will play in the play-offs for a shot at the Premier League title, currently held by Littler.

The players are made up of the top four Order of Merit players and four wildcards.

The action is set to get underway from 7pm GMT.
