I’m a teacher and thought I’d nailed my back-to-school outfit – I didn’t realize an issue until a student humbled me

BEING fashionable while sticking to a dress code isn't always easy.

One teacher thought she had done the impossible by nailing her back-to-school outfit until a student made a joke at her expense.

Kim (@klwieds82) shared the incident in a video with her TikTok followers.

She stood in her empty classroom, smiling as she confidently showed off her first put-together look for the new school year.

Kim rocked a simple black turtleneck and beige slacks, her hands shyly in her pockets for a modest fit.

Although she thought she looked great, she quickly learned how honest — and brutal — kids can be.

"When you think you've nailed your back to school out and then a student informs you that actually..." she said, shrugging her shoulders in defeat.

"You look like an Animaiac," she said, pulling up a photo of the cartoon Yakko Warner, who always wears a pair of beige pants over his body.

The educator took the joke in stride, shrugging it off.

"Nice to see you back too," she said.

Her viewers laughed at the joke, saying that the kids were going to be alright.

"Ayo they deserved an A+ for knowing the Animaniacs!" said one commenter.

"I'm just happy they knew the reference, to be honest," said another.

Some disagreed with the kids, saying that she was missing a crucial part of the outfit.

"You're missing the belt with the gold buckle for a lil' razzle-dazzle," said one commenter.

One thought that she might as well commit to the bit fully by enacting an iconic performance.

"You gotta do Yakko's geography song," said one viewer.
