A CELEBRITY makeup artist has recommended a Glow Recipe dupe that revitalizes skin for just $6.99.
She compared the popular beauty product that costs $40 to the budget-friendly alternative available from Trader Joe’s.
Jamie Greenberg (@jamiemakeup) boasts almost 305,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares beauty tips.
She was eager to share an affordable skincare product that she tried for herself with impressive results.
“Don’t use the Glow Recipe watermelon glow overnight treatment,” she said.
“I’m a celebrity makeup artist. I’m here at Sephora and I’m gonna show you what’s a better bang for your buck.”
Glow Recipe’s watermelon glow AHA night treatment is available for $40 at Sephora.
“A powerful overnight resurfacing mask to gently exfoliate, hydrate, and visibly brighten with a 2.5 percent pH-balanced AHA complex for smoother, firmer-looking skin,” the product description says.
Despite its 4.5-star rating, Jamie advised against buying it in favor of an alternative she found for a lower price.
“Trader Joe’s watermelon overnight face mask,” she said.
“They didn’t even try to hide that they were making a dupe but this is $6.99.
“I kid you not it does the exact same thing.
“It’s missing the alpha hydroxy, but I’ve got to tell you, I did not notice the difference the next day.”
“Have you tried either of these? $40 vs. $6.99… not bad,” she added.
Jamie gushed the product is “amazing” for hydration and smells good.
Over 151,000 people liked the video and hundreds of viewers took to the comment section to share their experience using the bargain buy.
