EastEnders viewers disgusted by Eddie’s ‘vile and racist’ swipe at Gina as he teases ANOTHER twist from George’s past
EASTENDERS viewers have been left disgusted by Eddie Knight’s ‘vile and racist’ swipe at Gina - before as he teased ANOTHER twist from son George’s past.
Pub landlord George was left stunned earlier this week when his parents revealed they had been paid to take him in when he was a child.
As George continued to question his real identity, he invited his parents back to the Vic for a family dinner in tonight's episode.
But his dad Eddie continued to get EastEnders' viewers' backs up with his blunt comments to George and daughter Gina.
In one scene as they looked at pictures of George as a child, Eddie told Anna: "He had hair like your sister, totally wild, I had to sheer him like a sheep just to get a head guard on him."
He then said to Gina: "You gonna pull a comb through that before we have dinner Gina?"

Later, Gina told her mum Cindy how her granddad's comments made her feel.
She said: "It's just something gramps said about my hair, and it's not just that, it's the way he looks at me...
"I dunno, it's like I'm some sort of embarrassment and he used to look at me like that when I was little."
Eddie's comments didn't stop there, as he referred to "two black lads" who attacked one his neighbours, prompting Gina to call him out on why he referenced their skin colour.
Meanwhile, Gloria told George that his parents had come from Ghana, and that he had met his birth dad once, on the day he brought George to her.
She promised him he was loved by his birth parents and her, but moments later as she walked out of the pub with Eddie, he asked her: "What you tell him?"
Gloria replied: "What we agreed. Are you sure we shouldn't tell him the rest?"
But Eddie told her: "He knows all he needs to know for now, the rest can wait."
As Gloria looked stricken as Eddie walked ahead of her and out of the pub, EastEnders viewers took to X - formerly Twitter - to rage about him.
One wrote: "Eddie is a racist!"
Another tweeted: "I really don’t like Eddie. he’s so slimy and actually quite vile."
A third commented: "Eddie is so racist I’m in tears. how can man say to Gina run a comb through your hair?"
