The Queen says the Princess of Wales "will be thrilled" after receiving posters from well-wishers on a walkabout in Shrewsbury.
The royal made the comments on a visit to a farmers' market as she met two young girls who made signs for Kate following her cancer announcement.
After being handed the signs, the Queen was heard saying: "I shall send this off to Catherine. She'll be thrilled."
It follows the Princess of Wales revealing in a video statement on Friday that she is undergoing preventative chemotherapy.
She said she and Prince William had been doing everything they could to "process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family".
Kate added it has "taken time" to explain her diagnosis to her children George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is "appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be OK".
The news comes as the King also deals with his own cancer diagnosis.
Buckingham Palace announced in February that the King had been diagnosed after a "separate issue of concern was noted" during treatment for his benign prostate condition.
