I couldn’t afford a UK spa day so flew to a luxury resort in Bucharest for just £27 return and got 7 hours of relaxation
A WOMAN who didn’t want to fork out for a pricey spa day in the UK has revealed how she flew to a luxury retreat in Bucharest for just £27 return.
Savvy travel lover Tutu Okay revealed how she enjoyed the delights of a swanky thermal spa and got seven hours of relaxation before flying home.
On her @tutuokay account, she broke down the costs of her spa day abroad, which included return flights on the same day.
Tutu wrote in a video which has racked up over 35,000 likes: “When you escape the UK for £27 just to go to a spa.
“Catching flights and feelings this year.”
Tutu shared how she booked a round trip with RyanAir from London Stansted to Otopeni in Romania.
More on day trips
She landed at 11am and headed straight to Therme Bucharest, where she forked out £28 for a full day all access pass.
She stayed in the spa from 11.45am to 6.45pm and then caught a 9pm flight home.
In total she spent £111.03 on the pampering day out, with extras including food, attire, and her Uber and coach fees.
Tutu added: “POV you have free will so fly out to Bucharest for the day.”
Many people were inspired by her adventurous trip, with one saying: “I really wanna go here.”
Another added: “Tutu you use your passport like it's a free Oyster.”
Some viewers said they had done the same, with one writing: “Went here on a solo trip and it was best thing ever.”
It’s not the first time that travellers have enjoyed an incredible one-day trip abroad.
