Uefa Nations League clash SUSPENDED after fight breaks out and one of teams walks off pitch in protest

A NATIONS LEAGUE match was incredibly ABANDONED after one team walked off in protest and fights broke out.

Kosovo players reportedly took offence at chants from the home Romanian fans in stoppage time.

The Romanian team waited for nearly 40 minutes - before Kosovo were reportedly given an ultimatum of returning in five minutes .

And when that didn't happen the Romania team were told to get back out in full kit - so the final whistle could be blown.

There was friction on the pitch before the walk-off in a traditionally-heated clash.

Romania's Denis Alibec and away star Amir Rrahmani had to be pulled apart.

Trouble then erupted after the full 90 minutes were up, with the score still 0-0.

The Kosovo team and staff strode off after objecting to chants from the crowd.

Officials eventually told them to return , but that was in vain.
