I’m curvy & petite – I found dream jeans in River Island that look gorgeous on, I’m living for the tummy control too
A CURVY fashionista has revealed she's found the dream pair of jeans that fit like perfection - and they have tummy control too.
Carla Kent describes herself as "your petite curvy bestie" and regularly delights her army of social media followers (@carlakentx) with her shopping hauls.
The 27-year-old says that shopping for trousers can often be a nightmare because of her height and hourglass figure.
But she stumbled across the ideal pair during a high street shopping spree this week.
"Who knew I would be shopping at River Island", she said.
"It’s not a shop that I go in to but let me tell you, they have such gorgeous things."
And her top buy in store was a pair of £48 blue high waisted tummy hold flare jeans.
She said: "If you’re like me and you’re one, curvy, and two, petite, you’ll know that finding jeans is the worst job in the world.
But holding her new pair up in a video, she added: "I got these flared jeans. They look gorgeous on.
"What I love about River Island is they do different lengths. I got a size 14. I’m never a 14 on bottoms, so love that.
"And they do short, so I got a 14 short.
"£48 they were. I think for jeans that’s like the standard.
"They’ve got tummy control, the washed out denim. Absolutely love these.
"If you’re ever near a River Island, pop in and see what they have."
Carla's fellow fashion fans are loving her latest buy, with her clip racking up 44,000 views.
One said: "Live by River Island jeans."
A second gushed: "River island are upping their game!"
Meanwhile, a third echoed: "It’s actually gorgeous these days."
River Island hailed their denim item - which come in four colours - as the "ultimate waist shaper".
They added: "Designed in a high-waisted finish, they're fitted around the top but wider down the leg.
"Our wide leg jeans are crafted in our comfort stretch denim, which means they might feel snug at first, but the more you wear these, the more comfortable they become."
Rounding off her shopping spree, Carla also picked up a “stunning” black and gold bikini for £62.
“Bit pricey for a bikini in my opinion but I think this is lovely and I’ll get a lot of wear out of it", she said.
“And the bottoms are high waisted, so love that for my gals who don’t like their tummies [because] me neither.”
And to wear with her new jeans, the fashionista bagged a red cropped bomber jacket for £40.
She gushed: “How gorgeous is this? This style of coat is really in just now.”
