Met Office predicts when summer will FINALLY begin as 15 MILLION Brits will see sunny relief
BRITS can finally look forward to the start of sunny summer days with temperatures set to rise, forecasts the Met Office.
It comes as many slapped on sun cream and headed for the beach yesterday as figures hit 23C across large parts of the UK.
And, the warmer weather is set to continue for 15 million brits throughout the week, with highs of 21C in the south east predicted tomorrow.
However, patches of rain will move southwards through the day, and chilly breezes may make it feel cooler by the evening in the north.
Meanwhile much of Britain will remain hovering at around 15C on Wednesday and Thursday, but figures could drop by the evening.
Met Office meteorologists forecast a mild weekend, with highs of 17C in the south east, 15C across the Midlands and 14C in the north of Scotland.

While it is due to feel warmer, there will be some unsettled weather patterns and intermittent downpours until late June, according to the Met Office.
Next week could bring some blustery showers to those in the north with "changeable" weather patterns expected amid "drier interludes".
But, the forecast suggests southern parts of the UK will experience a "good deal" of dry spells.
Temperatures are likely to take a dip mid-June for most, but by the end of June, meteorologists are predicting them to rise above average.
Hay fever suffers have also been advised to keep an eye on pollen levels this week as the mercury rises.
The National Pollen and Aerobiology Research Unit said: “Grass pollen has a very high risk in the South, Midlands and Wales on sunny days in warm weather.
“Expect the high risk to arrive in the North from June 3.”
It comes after Brits soaked up the sunshine on Sunday, with temperatures hitting 23C in parts of the south east.
This was in stark contrast to torrential downpours last week which sparked danger to life and flood warnings across the UK.
Heavy rain saw rail services cancelled and delays, as well as travel chaos on the roads.

Brits can expect drier and sunnier weather nearing the end of the month, although rain showers are still predicted.
The Met Office suggested it could be "wetter than average" at this time of year.
However, temperatures are likely to me "a little above average" with warmer spells possible.
