ONE of the former winners of The X Factor has announced a huge new job.
2010 saw record viewers for the long-running ITV show one of the and it made major stars on the world stage.
Matt Cardle has previously starred in a variety of musical productions on The West End.
Previous shows have included Memphis, Strictly Ballroom, and Jesus Christ Superstar.
But now it has been announced that he will star in & Juliet that will be shown across the UK and Ireland.
The multi-platinum selling artist is set to play the character of Shakespeare in the upcoming tour.

The former TV personality will join the likes of Gerardine Sacdalan, Sandra Marvin and show veteran Lara Denning.
His opening night is set take place at the Manchester Opera House later on in the summer at the beginning of July.
Matt won critical acclaim when he starred alongside Beverley Knight in Memphis, for which he won the WhatsOnStage award for ‘Best West End Debut.’
The star previously first rose to prominence when he competed on The X Factor in 2010.
At the time he competed he was 27-years-old and he fell under Dannii Minogue's category.
He beat out the likes of One Direction and Rebecca Ferguson in the live final.
His performance with Rihanna was watched live by a whopping 17 Million people.
The debut single from the star, When We Collide, sold over 1.1 Million copies and he's since collaborated with the likes of Mel C and Gary Barlow.
Alongside his duties for the show, he's also set to release his fifth studio album later this year.
Although the X Factor bought him instant success, he previously slammed the show alongside a string of other stars.
He recently said the show “used people” and insisted it was a “miracle” there had not been many tragedies as a result.
