Granddad, 68, ripped in half by crocodile while swimming as wife found his phone & clothes left behind on bank

AN INDONESIAN granddad was savagely mauled to death while going for a swim by a crocodile just metres from his home.

M Yunus, 68, was in the Peureulak River on August 29 when the beast ripped him in half, leaving just his clothes and phone.

But his wife Dimyam, 64, worried he'd drowned when he failed to return home for a few hours.

She went to the river to find his clothes and mobile phone on the banks - with no sign of his body.

Dimyam called on her family to help in their village in East Aceh Regency, Aceh province, and called the cops.

Rescuers worked tirelessly to scour the river until the next day when a disaster agency found his corpse drifting downstream around a mile away from where he his clothes were recovered.

My Yunus was caught in a wooden branch and tragically left without his upper body.

Cops suspect the poor man lost half his body to a crocodile who devoured him.
