Funniest photos of the royal kids in 2023, from cheeky Louis at the Coronation to sassy Charlotte at Wimbledon
FROM the dazzling Coronation to Kate Middleton’s Christmas carol concert - 2023 has been an exciting year for the royal family.
But one thing is for sure, whenever Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, step out in public they always steal the show.
Just last week cheeky Prince Louis amused royal fans at Westminster Abbey blowing out the candle being held by big sister Princess Charlotte.
And who can forget the youngest adorably covering his ears during the Trooping the Colour flypast.
Royal expert Phil Dampier told Fabulous: “It’s been a great year for little Prince Louis, who is becoming a star in his own right.
"He is a real live-wire and always seems to be up for a practical joke or a funny gesture towards his older siblings.
"Big sister Charlotte already looks like she has the measure of him, and keeps him just this side of over exuberance, but as he grows up we will all enjoy seeing how he turns out."
Here, Fabulous looks back at the royal kids' funniest photos this year…
Wimbledon outing
Prince George and Princess Charlotte erupted in cheers at Wimbledon as they watched Carlos Alcaraz sealed his first Wimbledon title.
The Prince and Princess of Wales were in attendance for the blockbuster final along with their two oldest children as Alcaraz fought Djokovic for the prestigious crown.
Charlotte and George appeared transfixed by the spectacle and we can all relate to their anxious facial expressions.
Kate’s adorable daughter also showed she's developing her own personal style and was seen looking chic in pink sunglasses.
Prince Louis on a quad bike
In July, Louis was pictured giving a shy wave as the Princess of Wales helped him climb onto a quad bike during a family day out.
The beaming royals were snapped attending the RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire for the Royal International Air Tattoo.
William and Kate and their young children were seen looking around and marvelling at the "world-class" celebration of aviation.
Trooping the Colour antics
Kate and William’s youngest child stole the show again in June as the cheekiest royal played up during a carriage ride and a balcony appearance at the Trooping of the Colour.
The loveable royal reprised his naughty antics while en route to the ceremony - before covering his ears and stretching his arms as he stood on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during the RAF flypast.
In adorable snaps of the carriage ride, Louis could be seen wrinkling his face, pointing his finger at the sky, pinching his nose and ruffling his immaculately combed hair as he rode with brother Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
When the Royal Family later appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony to watch an RAF flypast, Louis covered his ears, pumped out his arms and grimaced while saluting the jets overhead.
As a toddler, the prince earned the nation's love with his cheeky antics on the Buckingham Palace balcony during the Platinum Jubilee - when he covered his ears up and jumped up and down.
Scouting around
The Princess of Wales and her kids enjoyed a fun-filled visit to a scout hut in Slough for the Big Help Out in May.
Joined by the Prince of Wales and their two eldest children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, Kate assisted Louis while he tucked into some marshmallow s’mores by a campfire.
As she helped pop the marshmallow between the two biscuits, Kate instructed Louis to put his leftover stick on the campfire where she let his secret name slip.
She can be heard saying, “Pop that on the fire Lou-bugs!”
Royal fans were quick to gush over the sweet nickname the royal mum has given her son.
During the visit, the royal kids also got stuck into doing archery and riding tractors.
Coronation rockstars
All eyes were on King Charles during his Coronation in May this year - but the three children were certainly a hilarious distraction.
Fidgety youngster Louis was also seen trying to distract his sister Charlotte as they chatted during their grandad's coronation.
Louis was seen pulling cheeky faces outside the church before the historic ceremony began.
Charlotte then took his hand to guide him through the church to their seats.
However, he then vanished from view as the long ceremony progressed.
The kids were back on show on the Buckingham Palace balcony, and Louis was seen banging his fists on the wall.
The cheeky youngster endearingly messed around in front of thousands as the Firm braved the rainy conditions.
Prince William was also in a playful mood at the Coronation concert, and was seen teasing Charlotte with a flag.
Footie fan Prince George
Prince George George cut an excited figure in the crowd after going to watch an Aston Villa match with his dad William in April.
The Prince of Wales is well-known as a huge Villains fan and treated his son to the Bank Holiday match up against Nottingham Forest at Villa Park.
George was pictured enjoying the action and mirrored his father as he clutched his face when Villa missed a good chance.
But the father and son were soon seen celebrating wildly and punching the air when Bertrand Traore broke the deadlock just after half-time.
The young royal seemed gripped by football fever as he excitedly pointed to the pitch at the Prem stars while talking to his dad.
The young royal and his dad proved to be a good luck charm with Aston Villa winning the Premier League clash 2-0.
Mischievous Christmas Day walk
We last saw the adorable youngsters on Christmas Day as they strolled to and from St Mary Magdalene's Church on the Sandringham Estate.
Princess Charlotte appeared to be sharing a mischievous giggle with Mia Tindall, who is Zara and Mike Tindall's first daughter.
