She revealed her skin was glowy and acne-free before starting to use the product but aged at least ten years form using the product for a few months.

The lash tech soon became hooked on the nasal sprays as after just two sunbed sessions she gained a deep tan.

Nasal sprays, when inhaled, can lead to a temporary darkening of your skin.

Nasal sprays' main active ingredient is melanotan, which helps drive the process of pigmentation production.

A few weeks later, the beauty fan began to notice her skin becoming super oily - but put it down to the hot weather in the UK.

But then the real problems started to surface - her skin became bumpy and textured but she continued with the sprays as she 'felt amazing with a tan.'

Just a few months in her skin began to worsen and she developed cystic acne on her face which became super painful.

Despite having a feeling the nasal sprays were causing the problems, she continued to use them for a few more months until her skin became unbearable.

Now a year on from ditching the sprays - her skin has stopped producing acne but she was left with scarring.

She warned: "Not a lash related post, but need to spread more awareness on the dangers of taking tanning nasal sprays.

"I was a very big advocate for them on my Instagram as they made me feel so good about myself (to start with). But although I had a tan, I feel that (looking back now) I had aged 10 years, and my skin was so painful and bumpy.

"They have side affects that no one knows about (because they're not studied!), and affect your hormones in order to give you a deeper tan.

"There could even be fertility or other health issues that come with using them - they can do such drastic things to your skin colour, so who knows what would happen inside your body?

"It is not worth it and I truly feel like I looked better, healthier and more glowy before I started taking them."

The clip posted to her TikTok account @dellashious_uk soon went viral and plenty of people took to the comments to share their thoughts.

One person wrote: "Omg I’ve never even heard of tanning nasal spray. thank you for this!"

Another commented: "Thanks for this video babe, I recently bought nasals but won't be using them now."

"I used nasals for 2 years and I noticed I aged massively when I started not only that I started loosing hair and have a hormonal imbalance in my body," penned a third.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), sunbeds are as dangerous as smoking.

Like the sun, they give out harmful UV rays that damage the DNA in your skin cells.

Over time, this may lead to malignant melanoma - the deadliest form of skin cancer - studies have shown.

According to the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), there is significant evidence to show that using tanning beds causes melanoma.

They report that sunbeds increase the risk of skin cancer by up to 20 per cent, and also state that they have no positive benefits to our health.

Cancer Research back this statistic, adding that " there is no such thing as a safe tan from UV radiation".

When it comes to nasal sprays, some nasal spray sellers insist their products are safe - but the British Association of Dermatologists' Dr Catherine Borysiewicz says the only safe tan is fake tan.

She said: These products have not been studied properly, you don’t know what you are using, that’s the bottom line.

"These products are very, very dangerous . They can potentially lead to cancer.

"I talk about the skin risks, but who knows what else it might be doing. It’s incredibly worrying.

"If you’re using Melanotan, stop. Don’t use it any more and really importantly make sure your skin is assessed and checked.

"Be honest with the doctors that you’re seeing so they’re aware of the potential risks you may have been exposed to so your moles can be properly checked and analysed if needed."
