Man Utd vs Ipswich LIVE SCORE: Red Devils look to end woeful run in Premier League as they host struggling Tractor Boys

The 'almost certainly' derby

Is this the game with nothing on the line? Man United, who have been turgid under Ruben Amorim are closer to the relegation spots than they are to heady heights of European qualification, yet will almost certainly not get relegated - as their 2-2 comeback on Saturday against Everton showed.

Whilst their visitors in Ipswich Town (yes, that Ed Sheeran team to the unaware), will almost certainly be one of the three promoted sides to face relegation - five points behind 18th place Wolves - as they continue to be unable to string a meanable run together.

Kieran McKenna, a former United coach and managerial candidate, stock will unlikely plummet despite the inevitable outcome and the same can be said for his burgeoning striker, Liam Delap, who will almost certainly double the £20 million fee Ipswich paid for him in the coming months following a campaign that has seen him as one of the league’s most prolific bagsman with 10 goals.

That’s £89.5 million less than United’s current strike force in Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund, who have managed to muster *drum roll please* five (5) goals between them.

In a game that will almost certainly not change much for either side, you can guarantee the outcome, whatever narrative currently presides over they will simply be reinforced.

Kick-off 7.30pm GMT.
