It comes just days after the Princess of Wales was snapped for the first time since her abdominal surgery, travelling alongside her mum.

In a post on X, the Prince and Princess of Wales said: "Happy International Women’s Day! Celebrating the impact of amazing women today, and every day.

"Here are just a few of the brilliant women we’ve been inspired by over the past 12 months."

It posted a number of photos of inspirational women - with royals snapped alongside them.

One showed a pic of Princess Kate with a ball boy and girl trainer, shaking hands as they beamed in front of a net.

It read: "Sarah Goldson has directed the Wimbledon Ball Boy and Girl training since the 2012 Championships. The training helps develop life skills among young people, with 280 BBGs selected from local schools."

In another snap of the Princess of Wales, she is seen walking through a charity store.

It read: "Bianca Sakol is the founder and CEO of Sebbys Corner, a shop-style baby bank which believes no child should go without the basic essentials they need to thrive.

"They provide a warm, welcoming environment and gives families choice and dignity to choose the items they need."

It comes as the Princess' first major royal event since her surgery has been announced.

Kensington Palace said in January Kate was unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.

Now the Ministry of Defence has announced Kate will review dress rehearsal at Horse Guards Parade for the Trooping of the Colour on June 8.

Kensington Palace insiders have not confirmed her attendance.

King Charles, 75, is also slated to appear at his birthday parade a week later.

But both are expected to attend public engagements before June - with Kate likely back next month.

The statement in January read: "The Princess of Wales wishes to apologise to all those concerned for the fact that she has to postpone her upcoming engagements.

"She looks forward to reinstating as many as possible, as soon as possible."

Meghan Markle is set to give a heartfelt talk today to celebrate International Women's Day.
