The much-loved Paddington Bear attraction returning to the UK this year

FANS of Paddington Bear will have the chance to get up close and personal with the character this summer as he returns to the UK for an interactive attraction.

Dates and details have been revealed for the family favourite's "multi-sensory experience" that is once again being hosted at London's County Hall.

The attraction first launched last year to celebrate 65 years of Michael Bond's famous book character.

Now it has been announced that the interactive show will be back again this summer - starting from May.

Visitors will be required to help Paddington and the Brown family prepare for a special day.

As part of which, they will be immersed in some iconic locations from the Paddington stories.

Guests will begin at Paddington Station where the Station Master will greet them and invite them on board a train that passes by famous landmarks en route to the Brown family home.

The family will then take guests through several multi-sensory activities in preparation for The Marmalade Day Festival.

The experience "culminates in a Windsor Gardens extravaganza" while themed food and drinks will be available at the attraction.

In advance of its return Mr Gruber’s Shop, inspired by the antique shop from the Paddington stories has opened on the South Bank at the venue.

From there, guests can get lots of Paddington merchandise in preparation for this year's event.

The attraction will launch on May 31 this year and will run throughout the summer.

More information will be released later this year, while tickets have gone on sale from today (March 4) at 10am.

The attraction launched new Facebook and Instagram accounts after it was revealed that it would be returning with plenty of people sharing their excitement.

One commented: "Got the tickets! Sooo excited!"

Another wrote: "CANT WAIT! On standby for the ticket release."

Five new water attractions opening in the UK next year

  1. Therme Manchester will have 25 swimming pools, 25 water slides and an indoor beach.
  2. Modern Surf Manchester will be a surfing lagoon offering lessons to both beginners and experts.
  3. Chessington World of Adventures waterpark is set to have wave, infinity and spa pools as well as waterslides and cabanas.
  4. The Cove Resort, Southport is likely to have a water lagoon and a thermal spa with steam rooms and saunas.
  5. The Seahive, Deal plans to be the "surfing wellness resort" in the UK.

A third added: "I think I’d enjoy this more than my little ones!"

The Paddington experience isn't the only new attraction launching in the UK ahead of the summer...

Duelling rollercoaster, Legoland

Work is continuing on a brand new ride set to open at Legoland, Windsor this year.

The Minifigure Speedway is set to be the first Lego themed duelling rollercoaster ride anywhere in the world.

Passengers will go both forwards and backwards, while taking part in a race between between the Team Legends and Allstars, both led by a Lego characters.

Earlier this year, images emerged of construction starting on the ride, which will be built where the former Raft Racers ride was before it closed in 2022.

HyperiaThorpe Park

The theme park is set to launch what will be the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the UK later this year.

Unveiled as Hyperia in mid-October, the coaster is expected to be ready sometime in early 2024, with some rumours suggesting April could be the month it launches.

At 236ft tall, the new ride will take the title of the UK’s tallest rollercoaster from Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s The Big One.

It’s also set to smash speed records when it opens to the public, reaching a velocity of 81mph.
