I’m a fashionista in my 50s and a guy said I was ‘hot for an old hag’ – that’s bull, aging is just a number
A FASHION fan in her 50s has subtly clapped back at people who say negative things about her and the female aging process online.
A man told her she was "hot for an old hag," but she quickly disputed that because, in her eyes, aging is just a number.
Fabiana (@feelfabulousbyfabiana) shares body positive and inclusive content aimed at older women online, concerning fashion, beauty, and more.
She wrote in her TikTok bio that "what matters is how you feel about yours" and "what others think is their opinion."
While sitting at home, addressed a negative message she received in a video.
The self-love advocate regularly displays her lean and toned figure in trendy outfits online.
Trolls can sometimes leave not-so-nice words about how she chooses to express herself.
"Today, I got a message from a male in one of my reels saying 'You are hot for an old hag'," she explained.
If you look up hag in the dictionary, it typically means something along the lines of a witch.
The 52-year-old woman talked about the realities older women face in the transparent statement.
She encouraged viewers to stop accepting ageism and "think about the mature amazing women around that male guy."
"My message to you ladies is let's each one of us create change so that this kind of behavior from males doesn't happen," she said.
She also called out females who troll her online.
"If you think about all of the women who send me messages, telling me that I shouldn't do this or I shouldn't do that because I'm old, you are condoning that guy's message," Fabiana declared.
She became visibly upset and sternly said: "That's bull**t. Aging is just a freaking number."
The content creator detailed why "getting old is a blessing" and encouraged women to join her in an anti-ageism movement.
"Don't tell another woman that she's old because of this and that. Think about it before you say it," she stated.
Many women resonated with her words and agreed in the comment section.
"Damn right lady. I love this vid. It’s not cause I am older. It’s cause I truly believe people try to bully aging women. I know people try to do that," one commented.
"I’m with you! I’m 62 and just started a burlesque career. We are not past our prime. We are in our prime. I’ll be doing more speaking on ageism too!" a viewer shared.
"You are beautiful. You are so stylish. I love it!!!" a fan praised.

"I'm 30 and starting to feel anxious about the changes in my face already. I was looking for inspiration that I don’t need injections to be pretty. Thank you!
"You don’t need anything to change what’s nature of being human. We all age. The way you choose to see aging is how you will experience it. YOU CHOOSE!" Fabiana replied.
