Jordon Cox, known on-screen as the "Coupon King", is a regular contributor who shares money-saving tips.

Taking to social media, the star shared with his followers that he's landed a new TV gig.

Jordon wrote in his Instagram story: "Exciting news. I've joined the cast of "Shop Smart Save Money".

"Every Wednesday 7pm on Channel 5 - I'll pop up with a tip to save money.

"Do tune in - starts tonight!"

Meanwhile, Jordon accompanied his announcement with a short video of hosts Gaby Roslin and Ortis Deley.

Gaby said in the clip: "And now we're handing over to a brand new member of our team.

"Our roving reporter Jordon Cox, whose made his name with his bargain hunting social media videos."

As Ortis added: "Every week, he's going to be us exclusive tips on how to bag yourselves a cheeky deal."

Before Shop Smart Save Money, the Channel 5 programme was originally named The Gadget Show.

Before its overhaul hosts such as Craig Charles and Jon Bentley tried out the latest tech and gave their honest reviews to viewers.

With the rebrand, Gaby and Ortis aim to get the beast deals on everyday items consumers spend the most on.

Some viewers were left unhappy by the changes, as they shared their thoughts on social media.

One hit out: "I watched one episode. It was pretty poor.

"The only segment that might have interested me was about torches, and it was too shallow to be useful.

"The whole show is very much about consumerism now, telling us which new product to buy.

"Not much interest in technology. Not much interest in fun.
