Since her "drunken kiss" with fellow I’m A Celeb campmate Danny Jones, the 34-year-old, who is known for her “fanny flutters” quote on Love Island, has proven she is already jumping on to her next big venture.

Now, having caught Hollywood’s eye, the Irish beauty is poised to secure the biggest pay cheques of her career - and last week she “boasted” on Instagram of becoming a L’Oreal ambassador, joining Kendall Jenner and Eva Longoria. 

And just before that the reality star was enjoying brunch with Hollywood’s Margot Robbie.

These career moves come just after the controversial 'drunken kiss' she shared with Danny, who shares his seven year old son Cooper with his wife Georgia, at a Brit Awards after-party.

Celebrity PR expert Nick Ede believes that although her moves may be “cold and ruthless” it’s “business as usual for Maura” who is now only set to earn even more since the kiss.

Here, we take a deep dive into the five ‘ruthless moves’ Maura Higgins has done since that kiss to prove she is one step above from the rest. 

1. The Kardashian Theory

Taking a leaf from Kim Kardashian’s book, Maura Higgins has moved swiftly on from the "drunken kiss" without making any comment about it. 

Whilst Danny shared an Instagram post “deeply” apologising to his “wife and family for putting them in this situation”, Maura hasn’t made a comment.

Instead, she has posted glamorous and sexy photoshoot pictures for her 4.1million Instagram followers, whilst also showing her life in America. 

Nick says: “Like the Kardashian clan she's not commenting or playing into a narrative.

“It could be perceived to be cold and ruthless but she's making sure that her ambitions and career are the most important things in her life. 

“She may look like she's deflecting from the negative media around her by posting her glamourous images but for her it's business as usual.

2. Jetting across seas 

Maura jetted to America shortly after the news of her “drunken kiss” with the married McFly singer broke. 

The Irish star told fans she was heading to Los Angeles for an "exciting shoot".

Nick says: “By leaving the UK and flying to the US and not commenting on the damage the kiss potentially has caused she is extracting herself from the issue but also making sure that all eyes are on her. 

“Maura is doing what she needs to do to keep herself in the headlines and away from any scrutiny from the kissing incident.”

3. Brunching with Margot

Earlier this month, Maura revealed that she was setting off for a lunch date with Margot, writing on Instagram: "When Margot Robbie invites you to lunch… you go!"

The pair, both 34, ordered a whole bottle of Margot's own gin, Papa Salt Coastal gin, to the table.

Maura shared a video of their afternoon celebrating Margot's gin being stocked in the UK, and wrote over the top of it: "Got me on shots at 2pm WHAT A WOMAN!!!!"

4. Hanging with A-listers

Last week she also spent the night partying with Kim Kardashian after getting an exclusive invite to Kim's leisurewear brand Skims' pop un diner in Los Angeles.

Nick says: “Maura is super savvy with how she posts on Instagram and who she gets seen with. 

“In the world of showbiz, it’s important to be seen with ‘the right’ people, and these two are the biggest stars in Hollywood right now.

5. Big brand deals 

Maura has shared her brand partnerships online and they aren’t tiny ones either. 

The Love Island star is said to be “relieved” to have been offered work from L’Oreal, who have offered her six-figures having been impressed with her shoot for MAC cosmetics.

She also is the face of Oh Polly too. 

A source exclusively told The Sun Newspaper: “She banked her first million a year after leaving Love Island and she’s on course to more than double that over the next eight months.

“As well as her huge deal with L’Oreal, her latest clothing collection for Oh Polly sold out immediately.

“She is hot property and brands on both sides of the Atlantic are desperate to sign her up for work.”
