Jennifer Lopez’s makeup artist reveals $7 secret weapon trick for flawless concealer that ‘takes 20 years off your face’
A CELEBRITY makeup artist has revealed his budget-friendly product that takes decades off your face - just ask J.Lo.
He coined the $7 cheap buy a secret weapon makeup item for making your concealer look flawless.
Makeup artist Scott Barnes (@scottbarnescosmetics) is a self-described "makeup magician," according to his TikTok bio.
In a TikTok video, he demonstrated a new beauty trick while applying makeup on a woman and unveiled a "secret weapon" item to achieve the look.
'I'm going to take 20 years off your face with Aquaphor," Barnes said.
In the video, he used the Aquaphor Healing Ointment Skin Protectant first, which costs $6.99 at Target.
First, he applied a pea-sized amount of the product to the woman's neck and used the Aquaphor lip balm underneath her eyes.
Then, he applied a light layer around her nasolabial folds and jowl lines because they also crease.
The Aquaphor Lip Repair Stick costs around $5 at Target.
He recommended using your regular eye cream at nighttime before bed if you do this.
"This makes your concealer stay 10 times longer," he explained.
"Since I saw your vid last week I’ve been using it and omg it’s a game changer for us over 50," a viewer agreed.
The "game-changing" method is a way to prevent concealer and powder from crackling under the eyes," so there is a seamless base.
Barnes' explained in the video that the technique ensures that it doesn't get all "creased up and crazy" and "break down the makeup."
He said he figured this out after doing "hours and hours" beauty looks for photoshoots, movies, and music videos.
Barnes wrote in the caption that, with the Aquaphor trick, beauty lovers can say "goodbye to midday touch-ups" and "hello to flawless, long-lasting makeup."
After doing the concealer base, he continued with his "normal technique" woman on the woman, but credited the Aquaphor as what kept everything "pliable."
