Several injured in Finland school shooting as suspect arrested

Several people have been injured in a school shooting in Finland, police say.

All those involved are minors, police said - including the perpetrator.

Officers were called to the incident at Viertola primary school in Vantaa at 7.08am UK time and a suspect has been detained.

Finnish broadcaster MTV Uutiset reported emergency services - including armed police officers - are at the scene.

Some of the children reportedly hid during the attack, while others who had been contacted by their parents on mobile phones said they saw what happened.

Local residents have been asked to stay away from the area.
