Patsy, 51, reprised her role as part of Whitney Dean's exit storyline and Monday's special episode was set in Milton Keynes where Bianca has been living.

Pregnant Whitney and her boyfriend Zack Hudson visited Bianca and discovered she was feeding two neglected kids - Britney and her brother Taylor.

It soon emerged that they shared a drug addicted mother who had a dodgy partner.

It left pregnant Whitney remembering her own childhood that led her into being groomed and abused - so she decided to help.

However, things took a dramatic turn when Britney ran away from her mother after being threatened, and Whitney chased after her, only for her to be hit by a car.

Meanwhile on Coronation Street, Fiz Dobbs - played by Jennie McAlpine - returned to Weatherfield after months away working in Norwich.

Jennie was back on the show after returning from maternity leave and her first scenes saw her introduced to Tyrone's mum, Cassie.

Elsewhere, Adam Barlow pushed estranged wife Sarah Barlow and her daughter Bethany Platt out of the way after spotting a car heading towards them.

Adam - played by Sam Robertson - took the hit as he rolled across the windscreen and roof of the car before landing on the floor face down.

The hit and run was carried out after Adam crossed villain Harvey Gaskell after he had agreed to help get him out of prison on appeal.

Adam dropped the case, leaving the prisoner furious and soon after, he sent one of his heavies to get revenge by targeting Sarah.

However, things didn't go to plan and Adam was the one who ended up in hospital.

Soap fans couldn't help but notice the similarities between EastEnders and Corrie's latest episodes.

Taking to a soap fan forum, one wrote: "Are the EE and Corrie scriptwriters copying each other's homework?

"Both have had the return of a redhead and someone getting mown down by a car on the same night."

There were a number of tweets on X - formerly Twitter - too, with one viewer writing: "I wonder if the hit and run driver who hit Adam Barlow, is the same one who hit Whitney down in East London. They're not having a good day. Missed both targets."

Another tweeted: "OMG Adam has been ran over by a car. That's 2 car accidents in 2 soaps now. 1 in #EastEnders with Whitney Now in #Corrie with Adam."

A third added: "Whitney getting run over in #Eastenders the car was definitely running at a faster pace than the car running over Adam in #Corrie."

Meanwhile a fourth shared: "Bianca back, Fiz Back. Return of the soap redheads today!"
