EASTENDERS legend Laurie Brett has revealed she's had surgery with an emotional hospital picture as she's supported by fans.
Laurie, 54, played Jane Beale on the BBC soap for 13 years before leaving in 2017.
On Tuesday evening, the actress took to X - formerly Twitter - to share an emotional snap from a hospital bed.
In it, Laurie was seen in her hospital gown while holding a cuddly rabbit toy to her shoulder.
She captioned the shot: "We have to ring fence & protect our
@NHSEngland #whittingtonhospital from any politics.
"An all party agreement. Thanks especially to Nicole for post op care. Thanks to everyone @thegirlsmusical @UnitedAgents & my darling
@garyaknichols for feeding and looking after me."

Laurie was immediately flooded with support from her followers, with one writing: "Hope you’re ok Laurie. Lots of love xxx."
Another added: "Oh, hope you're well on the mend, Laurie. Sending love down from Scotland."
A third tweeted: "Oh no. Please get well very soon. Take care of yourself x".
Laurie also received support from her EastEnders co-stars past and present.
Ricky Norwood - who played Fatboy - wrote: "Hope you’re ok Laurie . Sending big [heart emoji]".
Heather Peace, who plays Eve Unwin added: "Much love to you Laurie. Hope you’re fully recovered soon xxx."
And EastEnders writer Daran Little commented: "Sending love and prayers so speedy recovery."
Meanwhile Gaynor Faye tweeted: "Hope you’re ok darling" with a love heart emoji, to which Laurie replied: "Getting there thanks my band of gold girl!"
