  • Meet Bafta TV Awards host Rob Beckett

    Essex boy Rob, who's been dubbed the "Mouth of the South", was born on January 2, 1986.

    He is known for co-hosting I'm A Celebrity spin-off Get Me Out of Here! NOW! between 2012 and 2014, writing and narrating the commentary for E4's Celebs Go Dating, and being a team captain on 8 out of 10 Cats.

    He has also featured in Travel Man with Richard AyoadePlay To The WhistleAll Together Now, and Wedding Day Winners with Lorraine Kelly.

    In a 2015 episode of Mock the Week, Rob announced he'd married Louise Watts — the couple have gone on to have two children together.

    On hosting the proceedings for the second straight year, the 38 -year-old said: “Romesh and I are absolutely buzzing to be back hosting the Baftas."

  • Meet Bafta TV Awards host Romesh Ranganathan

    Romesh Ranganathan, born March 27, 1978, is an English comedian, presenter and actor.

    Prior to finding fame, Romesh worked as a maths teacher and at an airline caterers before realising comedy was his true calling.

    He is best known for fronting TV shows including A League of Their OwnThe Weakest Link, Asian Provocateur, The Misadventures Of Romesh Ranganathan, The Ranganation and Rob & Romesh Vs with pal Rob Beckett.

    Other TV shows Romesh has appeared in include AvoidanceDNA JourneyHave I Got News for YouTaskmasterRomantic GetawayKing GaryJudge Romesh, and The Reluctant Landlord.

    Romesh is married to wife Leesa, and they are the proud parents of three sons — Alex, Theo and Charlie.

    On hosting the Baftas for the second year running, the 45-year-old joked that he had “done enough” last year to be asked to host by himself this year, adding: “Hosting it with Rob again is also an honour, I suppose.”

  • Past winners at the Bafta TV Awards

    There have been a great many deserving winners over the years, receiving recognition for their on-screen work, which brings joy to millions of viewers.

    Before hosting the awards, Romesh picked up the Entertainment Performance gong for The Ranganation in 2021.

    Ant and Dec are serial winners, with 19 Bafta Television Awards.

    The dynamic duo won the Entertainment Programme category for the fourth time with their show Saturday Night Takeaway in 2022.

    But when the pair headed off stage they seemed unsure of how to exit, with Ant saying: "Well that’s awkward isn’t it."

    Host Richard Ayoade joked: “Maybe they should pay less attention to the programme and more about where to walk off stage. A thought for next year.”

    Julie Walters is another multi-Bafta winner, having won leading actress four times.

    She most recently picked up the gong in 2010 for her role as Mo Mowlam in Mo.

    In the same category, Dame Judi Dench, Thora Hird, and Dame Helen Mirren all have three wins each.
