We’re DINKS living our best life – people always ask when we’ll have kids but we’d rather go out for dinner every night
A YOUNG couple have sparked backlash online after opening up about their childfree lifestyle.
Lilly Anne and her husband Evan opened up about how much they can afford and the things they are able to do because they don’t have children.
Lilly Anne, who got married to her ‘soulmate’ Evan at the age of 19, explained that she and her man are living the best life, as a result of their ‘DINK’ lifestyle.
According to this couple, a DINK, is a couple with a dual income and no kids.
Posting on social media, Lilly said: “We're DINKS, we're gonna get asked daily when we plan on having kids.”
Evan then chimed in: “We're DINKS, of course we're gonna go out to eat every night after work.”

Not only this, but Lilly explained that as a result of not having children, the couple aren’t dependent on their family, as she claimed: “We're DINKS, we don't have to ask our family for financial help or to watch our kid when we wanna go out.”
Her husband Evan then explained how not having children is beneficial when it comes to food shopping, as he added: “We're DINKS, we're gonna go to Costco and buy all the snacks in bulk that we want.”
When it comes to their income, Lilly confirmed: “We're DINKS, we have disposable income to spend on whatever we would like and don't have to spend on a kid.”
To which Evan also revealed: “We're DINKS, I'm gonna go to every football game and play 18 holes whenever I want.”
Finally, Lilly shared: “We're DINKS, we're gonna get asked at every single family event what we're doing with our life.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @lillyanne_, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly gone viral and has since racked up a staggering 8.9 million views.
But social media users were stunned at the clip and weren’t too impressed with the couples claims.
One person said: “Got a kid, we still do all this. While living in a camper and travelling wherever we want.”
Another added: “Kids are so much better than money.”
A third commented: “Crazy, I’ve got kids and do these things too.”
Meanwhile, someone else fumed: “Backhanded b******t to try and shame parenthood is absolutely ridiculous. Be free, do you, boo boo, but don’t throw s**t at us because we have kids.”
Whilst someone else admitted: “These vids give me the ick.”
At the same time, one user penned: “Short-term thinking.”
And another wrote: “Sounds miserable.”
After the backlash, Lilly later clapped back to the haters as she confirmed: “Y’all it’s not that deep.
