I have ridiculously thick hair – it’s not all it’s cracked up to be, I had neck pain and headaches so I thinned it out
A WOMAN with ridiculously thick hair has said to be careful what you wish for.
You might envy her crowning glory, but there was a downside to it.
We've all had a bad hair day but not everyone has a bad neck day.
She said her hair is so heavy that it causes neck pain and headaches.
This red-headed lady has had enough - but she is luck to have plenty of hair to spare.
Caity (@c8autumn) decided to take drastic action and some people were stunned.
They thought her decision was more hair horror than hair improvement.
But she stuck to her guns because this cut was all about her general health welfare.
"The process of thinning out my ridiculously thick hair," she said in her post.
In the video, someone armed with a pair of scissors vigorously attacked her locks, cutting out huge swathes of hair.
She ended up with a big hairball and even looked amazed at how much there was.
But while the volume cut might have appalled some viewers, she was delighted.
"I’m over the neck and headaches y’all," she said in her video that has gone viral.
Despite the chop, there was still a lot of hair hanging down to her waistline.
Her heavy hair solution has racked up 76,000 views and hundreds of comments.
"I will never understand people who do that. I’d rather cut my hair shorter than thinning it," said one person.
It wasn't a happy ending for everyone who tried this solution.
"I did it and I regret it to this day," was the response from another.
