MOVIE fans have been left crying in the cinema after watching a "nightmare" new horror film.
The terrifying flick is due to hit cinemas next month but fans need to steel themselves before going to watch it.
Longlegs stars Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage and actress Maika Monroe and it has been described by one reviewer as "100 hundred minutes of unrelenting, intense, and overwhelming dread".
The movie follows the story of FBI Agent Lee Harker (Monroe), who is assigned to an unsolved serial killer case.
But the investigation takes a complicated turn when Agent Harker uncovers occult clues - and she needs to solve them to stop the murderer's sickening spree.
The movie is shot from the perspective of the killer (Cage) and sees him use possessed dolls to infiltrate homes and make the families do terrible things to each other.

Movie fans were treated to a screening of Longlegs at Los Angeles film festival Beyond Fest.
Longlegs is directed by Oz Perkins, who is the son of actor Anthony Perkins. Anthony notably played Norman Bates in Alfred Hitchcock's suspense thriller Psycho.
Nicolas Cage is yet to speak in depth about the film, but he did admit at the festival: "People would ask me, ‘How could you not put your face on the [Longlegs] poster or trailer?’
"Well I said Longlegs – the being… the monster – is a highly devious subject."
Longlegs is due to hit cinemas in the US on July 12. A release date for the UK is yet to be confirmed.
