Tony McFarr dead: Chris Pratt’s stunt double who worked alongside actor in Guardians of the Galaxy dies aged 47
STUNTMAN to the stars Tony McFarr has died at the age of 47.
McFarr, who worked as Chris Pratt's stunt double on Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World, died at his Florida home on Monday, his family has revealed.
The daredevil's mother Donna confirmed the tragic news to TMZ, but the official cause of his death is still pending.
She called his loss "unexpected and shocking" and described her soon as "active and healthy".
Responding to the tragic news, Pratt said: "Devastated to hear about the loss of my friend and former stunt double Tony McFarr.
"We did several movies together. We golfed, drank whiskey, smoked cigars, and spent endless hours on set."
He added: "He was always a gentleman and professional. He'll be missed. My prayers go out to his friends and family, especially his daughter."
For over a decade, McFarr has been gracing the silver screen in some of Hollywood's biggest blockbusters.
He has worked on Captain America, Furious 7, The Hunger Games, Civil War.
