Coronation Street schedule shake-up as ITV airs extra episode this week after string of cancellations
CORRIE fans will be delighted to hear they get an extra episode this week after last week's cancellation.
The soap usually airs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights at 8pm.
However, last week Coronation Street lost its usual Wednesday night slot as ITV streamed live coverage of the FA Cup instead.
The broadcaster's new drama After The Flood was also given the boot as it was scheduled during Aston Villa and Chelsea's tense face off.
Thankfully soap fans will not be deprived of the episode they missed last week, as the programme will air four times this week.
The extra installment will be playing tonight at 8pm.

Referring to the split, he said: "I honestly never thought I'd see this day."
Ed was left in tears as Dee Dee attempted to comfort him, unaware that the worst was yet to come.
He added: "I can still picture the first day we met, [it's] coming up to 34 years."
