Parents are racing to Lidl’s middle aisle to snap up £1.49 buy that’ll keep their kids entertained for hours

JUNE is well and truly here, which means for many, it won't be long until they're heading off on their summer holidays with their kids during the summer break.

But whether you're jetting off to a sunnier climate or making the most of the British beaches, keeping a little one entertained for hours on end can be quite the tricky task - especially in the sticky heat.

That's because parents are racing to Lidl to snap up a middle aisle bargain buy that's perfect for keeping your kids occupied.

And perhaps the best part of all? It's currently on offer in the supermarket store, with a whopping 70% off.

One bargain hunter named Cristina Moraru decided not to gatekeep and took to money-saving Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK.

She posted a snap of the item in question which she spotted in her local Swindon branch.

The 'Sand Toys five-piece set' comes with a spade, alligator, star and tractor-shaped toy to build shapes in the sand.

And with the initial £4.99 price tag slashed to just £1.49, shoppers can save themselves an impressive £3.50.

One person who predicted the bargain would be a total sell-out tagged a friend and penned: "I wonder which one...bet they'll all be gone!"

It comes after Fabulous previously told about other garden must-haves that'll keep kids cool and entertained in the summer months.

A bargain hunter named Kaitlin Mcneish Irving posted on a selection of fun activity pool play centres she spotted reduced in price on the same Facebook page.

Alongside the photos, she penned: "All on offer at Argos £24 some £30."

Amongst them includes the 'Unicorn Play Centre', which has been reduced from £50 to £30, meaning shoppers can save themselves a whopping £20.

Also on offer for £30 is the 'Chad Valley Dinosaur Water Activity Centre.'

The online product description reads: "The inflatable, dinosaur-themed pool and play centre of inflatable games and toys and a water sprayer connects to a standard garden hose to create something a little extra to your water adventure.
