ON Monday and Tuesday next week The One Show will not air on BBC One as usual.
The chat show was launched in 2006 as a pilot series, which led to an entire season being commissioned in 2007, and since then, its usual instalment airs every weeknight at 7pm.
The new BBC schedule shake-up will see The One Show replaced on Monday by Panorama and on Tuesday replaced by the BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2023.
The BBC's Sports Personality of the Year award is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year.
Established in 1954, the awards celebrate and recognise the sports personalities who have captivated the UK public throughout the year.
The evening will be presented by sports icons Gary Lineker, Clare Balding, Gabby Logan and Alex Scott.

During the night, viewers will be able to vote for their winners during the live show.
No details have emerged yet about the mystery Panorama episode that will air on BBC One instead of The One Show on December 18.
Last month The One Show was pulled off air after the annual BBC Children in Need special took its place.
The One Show will resume as usual after the Monday and Tuesday schedule change.
The One show is live on weeknights at 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
