The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Held a Meeting with the New Ambassador of the People's Republic of China

Today, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov held a meeting with newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Turkmenistan Ji Shumin. The diplomat presented copies of his credentials, officially marking the beginning of his mission in the country.
The Deputy Head of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry warmly congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to such a responsible post. Akhmet Gurbanov emphasized the full readiness of the Turkmen side to provide comprehensive assistance and support to the Chinese diplomat in the implementation of his activities, which is an important signal for effective bilateral cooperation.
During the detailed conversation, there were discussed a wide range of issues related to the further strengthening of Turkmen-Chinese relations. The parties paid special attention to the importance of regular high-level meetings, which, in their common opinion, serve as a powerful incentive for strengthening and deepening the political dialogue between Ashgabat and Beijing, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.
As part of the intensification of trade and economic ties, mutual interest in increasing cooperation was expressed. At the same time, the energy sector was named as a key area, which emphasizes the strategic nature of the partnership between the two countries. Such cooperation has traditionally been one of the pillars of Turkmen-Chinese relations.
At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors once again confirmed their firm commitment to the further development and expansion of a multifaceted partnership, which has demonstrated sustainable dynamics and mutually beneficial nature over many years.
