Ten Hag wants to 'dominate'

Erik ten Hag has claimed that United need to dominate games more moving on from their loss to Newcastle.

He said: "This week, it was not in our advantage but you have to take it as it is. We have to put this right.

"I know we are resilient. We can do that.

"Several weeks ago, we lost to [Manchester] City and then we had a good run [in the Premier League], so we have to get back to a good run.

"You could say we defended quite well [Against Newcastle] but I prefer to stay further away from our goal and I prefer to have more of the ball, to play in their half.

"We had our moments where we could make good formations but it wasn’t enough. We could have been more dominant in the game."

Mainoo set for pay rise

Kobbie Mainoo is set to double his wages if he can become a regular for Manchester United.

The teenager has impressed for the Red Devils since making his league debut against Everton last weekend.

It is understood that Mainoo has a clause in his contract that will see his weekly wages rise from £10,000 to £20,000 once he makes a certain number of appearances.

The clause is part of a three-year deal the midfielder signed earlier this year.

Chelsea missing at least five for United

Chelsea are set to be without at least five stars for their clash against Manchester United.

The Blues injury list includes the likes of Ben Chilwell, Wesley Fofana, Trevoh Chalobah and Carney Chukweumeka.

Ratcliffe deal to be 'confirmed'

Sir Jim Ratcliffe's deal to secure 25 per cent of Manchester United is close to be being confirmed.

According to Sky Sports, the deal will be announced "early next week".
