Oasis at centre of multi-million pound bidding war for rights to comeback documentary

OASIS’ comeback is the biggest music reunion of my lifetime – but it’s not just fans desperate to get a bite of the action.

Insiders tell me a brutal bidding war has broken out among production companies desperately competing to win the rights to a film about Noel and Liam Gallagher's return.

Streaming giant Apple, I am told, are tabling a multi-million pound deal to entice the brothers into allowing cameras to follow their reunion.

But it is facing pretty harsh competition from other streamers such as Netflix and Prime Video, who have deep pockets and big ideas.

A source said: “Noel and Liam’s teams have been inundated with offers from production companies, who are desperate to secure the rights to a documentary.

“A dedicated team over at Apple have met to discuss the bid they are putting forward, and companies who work with Netflix and Prime Video are doing the same.

“The Oasis reunion is the biggest music story of recent times and to have access to Noel and Liam would be a huge coup.

“To see the brothers coming together again and putting their bitter split behind them would make for sensational viewing.

“The offers being tabled run into their millions.

“They know the price has to be right to get Noel and Liam to do it.

“Their team is collating the offers and will go through them in due course.

“Whether Noel and Liam would agree to filming their comeback is another thing.

Oasis WILL announce more tour dates - as Noel and Liam are joined by iconic original member for tour

“They don’t need it and they’re focused on the music.

“But a warts-and-all documentary lifting the lid on their return would go down in history.”

Wouldn’t it just.

Tickets for the shows go on sale today, with Noel and Liam already adding three extra dates to their shows in Manchester, London and Edinburgh.

Mark my words, given the mind-boggling demand for the tickets, there is no way they won’t add more shows.

Good luck for tomorrow.

I think we’re all going to need it.

Noel's ready to rock and roll

THE gigs will not get under way for another ten months but Noel’s already warming up.

He was seen arriving at a studio in London, swiftly followed by a roadie who carried two guitars, one of which was from his time in the band, as it had Oasis written on the case in big stickers.

It came after his daughter Anais hit out at people on social media who said older diehard fans had more of a right to tickets than youngsters.

She wrote on TikTok: “One thing I won’t stand for is the ageism and the misogyny around people getting tickets.

“Sorry if a 19-year-old girl in a pink cowboy hat wants to be there.

“I will have my friendship bracelets ready.”

Like Father, like Son

LIAM’s son Gene was out celebrating the reunion – and gave the classic Gallagher salute.

He was leaving Chiltern Firehouse in London and couldn’t resist flipping the bird, just like his old man is known for doing.

Fan Olivia's home help

FAN Olivia Bridge has a Masterplan – by letting people camp in her garden if they buy her a ticket.

She lives a few hundred yards from Heaton Park.

Olivia posted on X, offering a pitch along with access to her kitchen and bathroom.

She has been inundated with offers including from people in Canada and Gambia, and will now choose who stays, hoping to get four tickets.

She said: “We’re looking at the garden and think we could fit four two-man tents.

“Prices of hotels are ridiculous so I’m happy to help out.”

Barry's a Blinder

OSCAR nominee Barry Keoghan has got a role in the Peaky Blinders movie.

The Saltburn actor will appear opposite Cillian Murphy in the highly anticipated Netflix movie, which will also feature Rebecca Ferguson.

The spin-off of the popular BBC series is expected to begin shooting later this year – but the plot is being kept a closely guarded secret.
